Special Treat: After you've conquered the cold, warm up with a special treat we've got waiting for you.
Festive Fun: Join us afterwards for a drink at one of the local pubs. It's the perfect way to celebrate, share stories, and enjoy the festive atmosphere with fellow dippers!

Leenane Community Park

Leenane village currently does not have a public recreational space. Our vision is to provide a safe, sustainable and accessible heartland for the whole community and visitors to enjoy.

The Leenane Community Park will be developed on the grounds of the old Kilbride GAA pitch that has been generously leased to the Leenane Development Association (LDA) by the trustees.

Our biggest milestone to date has been obtaining planning permission as of February 2019. The community park once developed will provide the following amenities:

Walking / Running Path

Multi Use Grass Area playing field

Accessible Toilet Facilities

Car Park & EV charging station

Children’s Play Areas & Sand Pit

Adult Exercise Area

BBQ Area, Picnic Benches & General Seating

In order to pursue a grant from the local authorities / government agencies, we must firstly have our own match funding in the region of 5% to 25% depending on the grant. Our goal is to raise 25% of the total funding required with this webpage, corporate sponsors, our ‘Go Fund Me Page’ and through other community fundraising initiatives
